Lab Services

Commissioned innovation work for Canadian institutions

Beyond structured programmes, TeachWithAI offers bespoke lab services for school districts, post-secondary faculties, and education technology teams who need dedicated studio time, expert facilitation, and rigorous prototyping infrastructure at our Kamloops campus.

What we offer

Lab services built for institutional scale

Our services complement enrolment programmes by giving institutions direct access to the lab's methodology, equipment, and facilitation expertise — scoped to your timeline, budget, and governance requirements.

Institutional Residencies

Reserve dedicated studio space at our Lansdowne Street campus for teams tackling a specific AI education challenge. Residencies include facilitator support, prototyping workstations, immersive environment booths, and structured review sessions with peer educators from other institutions. Typical engagements run four to twelve weeks and conclude with an executive briefing and implementation roadmap tailored to your governance structure.

Recent residency clients have explored adaptive assessment design, hybrid classroom facilitation models, and responsible virtual assistant deployment across multi-campus post-secondary environments. Residencies are ideal when your team needs uninterrupted focus away from daily operational demands.

Curriculum Design Studio

Rebuild course structures for modular, adaptive delivery with hands-on support from our curriculum architecture team. We help educators map competency frameworks, design AI-assisted assessment rubrics, and validate outcomes against provincial curriculum standards in British Columbia and across Canada. Studio sessions take place in our purpose-built design space with large-format mapping boards, digital prototyping tools, and collaborative review protocols.

Whether you are redesigning a single module or re-architecting an entire programme of study, the curriculum design studio provides the methodological rigour and peer challenge that internal teams often lack when working in isolation.

Additional Services

Prototyping, advisory, and facilitation

TeachWithAI lab services extend beyond residencies and curriculum work to cover the full spectrum of AI education innovation needs.

Service 01

Prototyping Workshops

Intensive one- to three-day workshops where educator teams build and test a working prototype under lab facilitation. Workshops focus on a single innovation track — immersive environments, knowledge simulation, or virtual teaching assistants — and produce documented artefacts your institution can evaluate immediately.

Service 02

Institutional Advisory

Strategic advisory for school district leaders, deans, and education technology directors navigating AI adoption. We help you assess readiness, draft governance frameworks, evaluate vendor proposals against pedagogical criteria, and plan phased pilot programmes aligned with Canadian privacy and ethical standards.

Service 03

Ethics & Governance Review

Independent ethical review of AI education initiatives before they reach learners. Our review process examines consent frameworks, data handling practices, bias mitigation strategies, and human oversight protocols — ensuring your project meets PIPEDA requirements and public education values.

Service 04

Facilitated Design Sprints

Compressed five-day design sprints for teams that need rapid evidence before committing to a full residency or programme enrolment. Sprints follow our lab methodology — hypothesis, prototype, test, iterate — and deliver a concise findings report suitable for board or leadership presentation.

Service 05

Peer Review Sessions

Bring your in-progress prototype to the lab for structured peer review by educators from other institutions and innovation tracks. Review sessions surface blind spots, challenge design assumptions, and generate actionable feedback — without the formality of an academic peer-review process.

Service 06

Lab Infrastructure Access

Rent prototyping workstations, immersive environment booths, and collaborative review spaces for self-directed team work. Infrastructure access includes technical support, access to lab tooling, and optional check-ins with a facilitation lead — ideal for teams with strong internal capability who need space and equipment.

How engagements work

From initial conversation to documented outcomes

Every lab service engagement begins with a scoping conversation — either in person during a lab tour or via video call for teams outside the Kamloops area. We discuss your institutional context, the specific challenge you want to address, timeline constraints, and team composition. From there, we propose a service package with clear deliverables, studio schedule, and facilitation plan.

During the engagement, your team works inside our Lansdowne Street studio with direct access to lab facilitators, prototyping equipment, and peer educators from concurrent programmes. We document the process as carefully as the outcomes — because transparency about how innovation happens is central to our lab ethos.

Engagements conclude with a findings presentation and written report. For residencies and advisory work, we also provide executive briefings tailored to non-technical stakeholders who need to understand implications for policy, budget, and learner privacy.

Who we serve

Canadian educators and institutions

Our lab services welcome K–12 school districts, independent schools, colleges, universities, Indigenous education organizations, and corporate learning teams operating within Canadian regulatory frameworks. We have particular experience supporting institutions across British Columbia and the wider Canadian context, though teams from any province are welcome to commission work at our Kamloops campus.

We are not a software vendor, marketing agency, or generic training provider. Every service we offer is grounded in experimental learning methodology, ethical review, and the belief that educators deserve spaces to think boldly about the future of AI-enhanced education.
